Happy Monday! Don’t Kale My Vibe!

Good morning beautiful people. I know not everyone is a Monday person, but why not?!? It’s a beautiful day wherever you are and regardless of how cold it may or may not be.In the South cold weather still hasn’t made its grand debut and I’m definitely not mad about shorts and short sleeves in December 🙂 I’m here, you’re here and wait there’s juice, definitely reasons to be happy!

I’ve been deciding how I want to handle blogging. Between running a second brand and moving into a new home, I haven’t been able to devote the time to the blog I would like. Honestly, I haven’t been sure what to blog about. I want to be more than a sporadic recipe blog. I love juicing and the paleo lifestyle and want to offer more information about what’s going on with my personal journey as well as motivate you guys. Still working on the ins and outs of it, but I’ll be blogging more and would love your input, so feel free to comment below what you would like to see.

Moving on to today’s recipe:

A simple, yet delicious classic:

1 Bunch of Kale (about 6-8 leaves with stems)

1 Large Cucumber

2-3 Apples

1/2 Lemon

Juice and enjoy! Remember to cut the cucumber into sections and feed it between the kale leaves to get the most juice. Recipe above makes about 24 ounces.
Have a juicy day!

Summer Kisses

Summer Kisses

Summer for the most part is definitely over, but we have some days that the warmer weather is still lingering. Kisses of summer so to speak:) today’s recipe brings in some of my favorite fruits from the summer but are available year round paired with fall apples Golden Delicious or Honeycrisp. A sweet tart recipe so be sure you pick your strawberries carefully.
Run strawberries between the apples to get the most juice and you can juice the grapefruit in a citrus juicer if desired. Either way this recipe is delicious and a great detox blend.
With October wrapping up this weekend, what are your goals for the coming month?
I’d love to hear from you, feel free to comment below.
Happy juicing,

Brighter Days

Apple, Celery, Ginger, Spinach, Lime

Happy Friday all!!!!

This recipe is so yummy, and the lime gives it a tarter finish than my normal lemon. If you don’t have lime on hand though, feel free to add a lemon. For weight loss and a lower sugar juice, if you are diabetic use green apples. For a sweeter finish use the seasonal Honeycrisp which is super juicy and pairs with just about anything well.

Recipe:

4 Packs Cups Spinach or 2 Bundles

3-4 Medium Apples

3-4 Celery Stalks

1″Ginger

1 Lime.

To get more juice, be sure to sandwich the spinach between apples so the harder fruit will push out the juice. You can also a a cucumber for more liquid. Juice and enjoy. For prep ahead, store in a glass mason jar filled all the way to the top and sealed. Drink within 24-48 hours to retain the most nutrients.

(I use a Norwalk Cold Press juicer, if you are in the market for a juicer I recommend the Breville line.)

Happy Juicing!!!!

Happy Monday!!!!

rec#1

Happy Monday Healthy Chicks!!!

In spite of the dreary weather which I personally love, today’s recipe is the lovely Bright juice. Not only is it hydrating which is a must as the weather turns cooler, its full of vitamins and minerals. Spinach is considered one of the world’s healthiest vegetables. One of my favorite benefits as part of my natural hair growth journey is its loaded with Vitamin B, making it a great aid in healthy hair growth.

A few other benefits:

*Blood Builder

*High Alkaline

*Loaded with Vitamin C, folic acid and anti-oxidants

*Cancer Fighter (Always an added bonus.)

The recipe makes about 48 ounces based on my cold pressed juicer. You may need to add additional cucumbers to get more juice. Look for the fresh bundles spinach with the stems, if not available use a 2 lb. bag of spinach.

Bright
3-4 Apples
2 Bundles Spinach
2 Heads Romaine Lettuce
1 Cucumber
1 Lemon

Juice and enjoy!!!
